Matthew 5

Who you BE?

This past summer we talked about BEing the boy or girl God created you to be. In Matthew 5, Jesus lays out for us ways to BE just that. Most people call them the BE-atitudes. He gives us great examples of behavior for us to accomplish BEing the boy or girl God created us to be.

Read Matthew 5:2-12 and ask yourself if those are things that you are doing? Now, some of the attitudes are hard to understand, which is okay, ask your parents, ask a pastor or ask us!

What do you bring to the table?

Each of us has eaten something and said..."Man, this is kind of bland, it could use some more salt"...now, maybe not your McDonald's fries, but I promise, if your mom leaves salt out of a food she is cooking tonight, you'll notice. Salt makes food better. Jesus, does a great job of using analogies to describe how our attitudes should affect the people around us.

So, my question is what do you bring to the table? Do you make things better? Are you on a daily occurrence bringing SALT or are you bringing nothing? We should seek to make things better, if that is through our attitudes or how we help others. Lets make things better.
